The primary role of the Senior Software Architect and Platform Technical Director is to design enterprise architecture, software systems and development processes that enable the College to leverage technology to deliver an exceptional digital experience to online students, donors, faculty, staff, and friends of the College. This role leads software project teams and collaborates closely with management, product owners, internal partners, and vendors to produce software and platforms that support the College’s mission.
The primary role of the Senior Software Architect is to design enterprise architecture, software, and development processes that enable the College to develop and optimize a next generation web and mobile platform that can scale to deliver online education to tens of millions of online students. The Senior Software Architect will work in a leadership role with a multi-discipline team to design a new technology platform to deliver online education to over 2 million online learners. Successful candidates must have a record of accomplishment in planning, designing, and leading development teams to produce large n-tier systems. This role will be instrumental in hiring and leading the software engineering and development team dedicated to the College's digital platform, and collaborates closely with other technical teams, senior management, product owners, internal partners, and vendors.
